TS Erika – No threat to Florida anymore!!!

Tropical storm Erika dissipated into a wave in the Caribbean today. Unless, it strengthens in the open water west of Florida, it is no more a threat to Florida!   Although, it is no more a tropical storm, South Florida will get 3 to 5 inches of rain starting from tonight, Sun Sentinel reports. The storm’s path has changed again! Following is the forecast map courtesy of Sun Sentinel! It is about to hit South Florida as a tropical storm on Sunday night/Monday morning. Heavy rain and gusty winds (up to 50 mph) is expected for South Florida.

Hurricane Erika Update!

  Erika is expected to turn northwest as it approaches Florida on Monday. Sun sentinel reports that it has weakened a bit as it approaches Puerto Rico. The forecast model shows that it will become a hurricane when it travels through the open water before reaching Florida.
